Technology at ABS
At ABS, technology is viewed as an essential tool for both teaching and learning. There are over 300 computers throughout our campus 150 of which are for student use. Classrooms and Computer labs are equipped with Interactive White Boards and LCD Projectors which are fully networked with internet access. Laptops and Digital Media such as digital and video cameras are available at the Information Technology Office. Students are provided with broad access to educational resources through the Internet and innovative technology-based learning is integrated into the curriculum.
Information Technology Department
Responsible for maintaining, supporting, testing, troubleshooting Hardware and software problems in addition to Providing End users with support for all applications. Other responsibilities related to school network include installation of cabling infrastructure, configuration of servers and managing Internet connectivity and Website design. Faculty and staff training on the latest technologies are one of the main responsibilities the IT department handles.
The IT Manager along with the school management focuses on curricular aspects of technology, alongside other teachers, by planning and coordinating activities that promote staff development when it comes to technological use. Additionally, he is responsible for the technology usage policy at the school, and in developing a Technology Plan for the future.
