Elementary Principal's Message

 

Welcome to the elementary department of the American Bilingual School where we focus on educating the whole-child through a secure and nurturing learning environment. We take pride in knowing that each child is unique, therefore a wide variety of teaching techniques are used by our diverse staff in order to inspire all learners.

 

Through the use of an American curriculum and the New York State Standards, as well as the Ministry of Education, we are pleased to offer our grade 1-5 students an opportunity for outstanding achievement in core subjects taught in English while continuing to emphasize the importance of culture and value through Arabic and Islam studies. Through character education we model ways to make ethical decisions at all ages.

 

Over the past two years, I have seen ABS grow immensely as we reached our accreditation goal and received accreditation from AdvancEd Worldwide. Each year we continue to set new goals and engage in continuous improvement because it is our vision to become the top bilingual school in GCC region.

 

After two years of teaching fifth grade, being a Head of Department and holding many administrative responsibilities at the American Bilingual School, I am honored to be the elementary principal. As principal I am dedicated to providing all students a quality education. My colleagues and I have many exciting events planned for the 2011-2012 academic year and welcome you to visit our school at any time.
